Betsson acquires Goldrun Casino owner for €27.5m
Betsson Group has acquired Dutch operator Holland Gaming Technology and game studio Holland Power Gaming for €27.5m.
Holland Power Gaming supplies online casino games exclusively for Holland Gaming Technology.
Betsson will pay €16m upfront for the acquisition as well as deferred payments of €9m and €2.5m, paid in six months and 12 months, respectively.
Holland Gaming Technology holds a gaming licence for casino games in the Netherlands and operates local and dotcom Goldrun Casino sites.
“The acquisition will over time contribute to a higher share of revenue from locally regulated markets and is in line with Betsson’s strategic ambition to deliver profitable growth through geographic expansion,” Betsson said in a statement, adding that the acquisition is subject to post-closing by the Dutch gambling regulator, Kansspelautoriteit.
Betsson will fund the deal through its own liquid assets on a cash- and debt-free basis.
