NEC Nijmegen welcome Eredivisie leaders PSV to the Gofferstadion on Saturday afternoon hoping to halt the Eindhoven’s sides march towards a 25th league title. The away side are currently ahead of last seasons champions Feyenoord by 10 points with just eight more games to go.

The hosts have certainly had a great season, making the domestic cup final and sitting nicely in sixth place, just two points behind Ajax in fifth. They have won 10 of their 26 games, losing only seven and drawing nine. They’ve grabbed 50 goals this season, the best outside of the usual suspects. Koki Ogawa, who is set to return to the side permanently next season, leads the time with eight goals. Mees Hoedemakers is leading the providers with five assists. NEC have won seven of their 13 home games, losing only three. They’ve scored 28 of their 50 goals at home. Over the last five Eredivisie games, NEC have the fourth best record.

PSV are yet to lose away from home this season, with only two draws from their 13 games. They’ve also only conceded six goals in that time, scoring an incredible 45 at the other end. Despite their incredible run so far this season, the side are actually only second in terms of form in the last five games. This is a marginal difference however, with AZ only above them having conceded one less goal. With 81 goals already this season and just 13 conceded in all 26 games, the side look a certainty to lift their 25th league title.

During the return fixture, PSV won 4-0 with two goals from Luuk de Jong and one each from Noa Lang and Ricardo Pepi.
