Queen Letizia of Spain showcased a series of looks that emphasized power dressing during the first few days of her visit to the Netherlands. The royal opted for looks that included a power suit, sleek skirt and a tweed dress.
Departure Attire
Prior to departing for the Netherlands on Tuesday, Queen Letizia fashioned a power suit ideal for royal travel. The queen wore a crepe jacket in black by Boss with matching trousers. She also fashioned black heels by Massimo Dutti. As for her accessories, Queen Letizia opted for a pair of rose gold triple hoops courtesy of Gold & Roses.
Arrival Attire
Among the first events Queen Letizia attended, the royal was a guest at the reception to Spanish community at the NH Collection Amsterdam Barbizon Palace Hotel. For the occasion, the royal wore a liquid-fabric maxi skirt by Boss. She also wore slingback heels courtesy of Carolina Herrera.
Day 1
Rounding out her first few looks, Queen Letizia fashioned a vibrant green tweed dress by Moisés Nieto, which she coordinated with a matching bag by the same label. She wore another slingback heel by Carolina Herrera and accessorized with a statement hat that complemented the tone of her shoes.
Queen Letizia was joined by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands at the Royal Palace on Wednesday. For her look, Maxima wore an ensemble by Maison Natan and coordinated her outfit with Gianvito Rossi heels.
Day 1 — Evening Wear
For a state banquet on Wednesday night, Queen Letizia dazzled in a royal blue gown by The 2nd Skin Co. She chose to add a statement belt to her dress and also wore a diamond loop tiara for the occasion.
Day 2 – Straat Museum Visit
For the first of two visits on April 18, Queen Letizia fashioned this Benchellal dress with a dramatic wrapped element around the neckline and shoulder of the royal. She paired the look with navy leather slingback pumps by Carolina Herrera.
Day 2 – Lab6 Visit
During a daytime event on April 18, Queen Letizia wore an oversized pink wool and cashmere-blend felt coat along with a dress by Carolina Herrera, who is clearly one of the royal’s favorite designers. As for her shoes, Queen Letizia fashioned a pair of Magrit leather pumps for the outing alongside Queen Maxima.
The Spanish royal has always demonstrated a proclivity for sleek power dressing and subdued elegance. Queen Letizia often chooses classic silhouettes, fashioning an entire outfit that complements her taste without overpowering her presence.
These first few days of her Netherlands visit may be indicative of her approach to fashion over the course of the engagement. Power dressing, complementary accessories and other facets of her style will surely be on display throughout her time in the country.
